Armour of Tyr
The Armour of Tyr is a relic suit of Cataphractii Terminator Armour, that belongs to the Imperial Fists Chapter and is normally worn by the Captain of the Chapter's 4th Company.[1]
It was once worn by Captain Amandus Tyr during the Horus Heresy, until he was killed by the Iron Warriors in the Battle of Phall. Afterwards, the Traitor Legion took Tyr's armour as a trophy and it was eventually kept at their stronghold on Brisengard. However sometime in M41, the Imperial Fists' 4th Company stormed Brisengard and reclaimed the armour at great cost to themselves. In recognition of their sacrifice, Chapter Master Vladimir Pugh decreed that the Armour of Tyr would forever be in the 4th's guardianship. It would take centuries, though, to repair the armour to its full function, as the Iron Warriors had levied great indignities upon it. Ever since it was restored, however, it has been the honour of the 4th Company's Captain to wear the Armour of Tyr in battle and continue the legacy of the long-dead hero who once wore it.[1]
