Blastmaster
The Blastmaster is a sonic weapon used by the Noise Marines.[1]
Blastmasters are long-barreled support weapons that Noise Marines use to focus a throbbing bass note into an explosive force. The audible noise is so powerful that the ground trembles while eyes, eardrums, and internal organs rupture. By varying the frequency of the blast, the weapon can be altered to produce differing effects. At the more audible end of the Blastmaster's spectrum, the dissonant roar can ravage whole squads and the entire lengths of defensive lines. With more focused emissions, it is audible only to Noise Marines and the psychically sensitive. At such settings, Blastmasters have been known to rupture the hull of a Land Raider and shatter force fields. There are even claims of Blastmasters inverting energy barriers to fry those they are meant to defend or downing aircraft by crushing their own crews.[3]
