Celeja
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
The Celeja are winged, beetle-like warp parasites, that live inside their host's bloodstreams absorbing their genetic information.[1]
They do so for many years and are only occasionally visible as a swelling that moves beneath the host's skin. When the Celeja has absorbed enough genetic information, it sends its victims into a catatonic state. It then cocoons the host in silk-like material, it excreates from the body's pores. A few days later, the Celeja emerges transformed into a perfect likeness of the host, who is left behind as a lifeless husk. The Celeja then masquerades as the deceased host, while working to some agenda that only it understands.[1]
