Dromon Runner-Ship
The Dromon Runner-Ship is a type of in-system voidship used by the Imperium.[1a]
Description
Though far smaller than a true interstellar ship, to the point of being considered cramped,[1a] a Dromon can still serve double-duty as a system defence boat.[1b] It has a three-levelled passenger deck,[3c] furnished with simple benches. The passenger level allows access to the outer galleries, which have windows to observe the passenger deck below[2a] and viewing ports to show the void outside.[2b] The multi-level passenger deck can be replaced with a single high-roofed space with space for a personal study room, to serve as a vessel for a single envoy like an Inquisitorial Agent.[3c] Other organisations using the Dromon include the League of Blackships[1c] and the Ecclesiarchy.[2a]
The Dromon's cockpit is separated by door, next to an alcove housing the communications array.[2b] Its bridge has control stations, some of which are scooped control pits for the Dromon's pilots.[3b]
A Dromon can be semi-dedicated to serve as a transport for the Adeptus Arbites.[1c] When in service to the Arbites, the ship can host a small armoury[3b] and prisoner cells which are no bigger than three-by-three metres.[3a]
