The Lobotomy Chip is an Imperial Bionic that is inserted into the cranium[1] and is designed to curtail violent behaviour and suppress emotional outbursts by anaesthetising part of the subject's brain. Among the gangs of Necromunda it is often used to treat members whose battle injuries have made them too unstable even for the society of the Underhive.[2] Gang members that find the environment of the Underhive too violent for them to mentally bear may also chose to have the Lobo-Chip installed so that their emotions are diminished to a dull murmur.[1]
