During the [[War in Heaven (Necron)|War in Heaven]], the fleets of Zapennec fought valiantly to repel an [[Eldar]] assault of incalculable size. However the resulting battle left a great graveyard of wreckage orbiting their planet and during the sixty million year great sleep of the [[Necron]]s it would be protected by a shroud of [[wraithbone]] and [[living metal]].<Sup>1</sup>
