Transplant

Transplants are Imperial Guardsmen who were added or mixed into units of the Cadian Regiments, due to high losses in said Regiments (and the inability of the Cadians to replace them with native Guardsmen following the destruction of Cadia).[1]
The term "Transplant" was used as a name for a non-Cadian who had been absorbed into Cadian Regiments[1] and this was considered a great honour for such an individual.[2] Guardsmen so enrolled had to do something special or even heroic to gain even some respect among the Cadians into whom they were accepted.[1]
Notable Transplants
- Darya Nevic — Sniper Sergeant, Cadian 217th.[3a][3b] Formerly a member of the Coclerati Janissaries.[1]
- Hadeya Etsul — Lieutenant, Cadian 49th Armoured and Commander of Steel Tread. Formerly a member of the Tsegohan Regiments.[4a][4b]
