The Great Companies are unique to the Space Wolves Chapter of Space Marines. Where most Chapters are organized into ten Companies of 100 warriors, the Space Wolves are grouped into twelve Great Companies of about 120 warriors, each having different iconography and banner symbols. Each Great Company is responsible for its own recruitment, matenence, and running, each acting as a seperate force altogether, each lead by a Wolf Lord in a semi-feudal system.
