The Hammerhead Gunship is the main battle tank of the Tau army. It is based on the standard Devilfish chassis but sacrifices transport capacity for high powered weapon capacitors and extra armor. As a skimmer, it ignores terrain and, with certain upgrades, can move its full distance while still firing all of its weapons. Its ability to mount either a Railgun or an Ion Cannon as well as a secondary weapon of a Smart Missile System or two Burst Cannons make it possibly the best tank in the game from a points-to-effectiveness ratio.
