The Netheria Peninsula is part of the Deadlands continent on the planet Armageddon.[1]
Third War for Armageddon
The Netheria Peninsula, despite its relatively undefended status, has degenerated into a stalemate with neither side having sufficient forces to properly claim it. Many Speed Freak warbands were deployed into the area and quickly overran a lot of facilities[2] and only the intervention of the White Scars prevented the various processing plants from falling into the hands of the Orks. Most of the Imperial facilities have had to look to their own defence, as there are only so many White Scars available. Eagle River has been taken by the Orks, but engineers have redirected the pipelines away from the Netheria Peninsula Pumping Station, which Gorsnik Magash was using to fire rockets into the heart of the complex. Eventually, attacks by the Legio Magna and Semtexian Bombardiers drove the Orks out to the borders of the complexes, but have failed to push them further.[3]
The Arphista Penal Legion dropped onto SS Icerok and managed to destroy the engines with thermal charges while shuttles transported the Krourk Ogryn Auxilia to attack the Ork runways at Orkwik Airfield, although only one shuttle made it through as they were intercepted by da Red Nob and two squadrons of Fighta-Bommerz. The Ogryns ripped through Bogsnik's Blitz Brigade in an orgy of violence but the Krourk wiped themselves out when one fired its Ripper Gun into a stack of fuel drums.[3]
McCready Cape Research Facility remained virtually untouched thanks to the viral minefields created around the facility. The Orks believe it to be a cursed area, but the cold will soon kill the viruses. Whether the Orks will realise they are no longer dying, the facility to become vulnerable. The Ork foothold on the Valdez Omega oil platform has been practically impossible to remove, although oil is still being mined and transported, even under siege.[3]

The results show that the area is heavily contested with no one side having an advantage over the other, except for at Orkwik Airfield. Perhaps with the victories in the Deadlands, the White Scars may be totally redirected to help clear out the Netheria Peninsula.
