Angelus (Blood Angels)
Angelus is a Blood Angels Terminator Sergeant, who always strives to live up to his Chapter's glorious legacy of defending the Imperium.[1b]
History
He is also an accomplished leader, who inspires those who serve with him to acts of great heroism in battle. In M42, Angelus was among the Blood Angels[1b] that defended the Imperium's worlds in the Vertex Sector. When the vital world of Vertex suffered an Ork invasion[1a] the Blood Angels[1b] and several Space Marine Chapters came to its defence.[1a] Angelus would do battle with the invading Orks[1b], but his mission changed when the Xenos found a weakness in the Hive City of Acastus' defences. It had been protected during the invasion by a Void Shield network, which was projected from an armoured bunker designated Shield Generator Gamma-9. However the Orks would discover this and several hordes were sent to destroy it, so the Xenos could invade the Hive City.[1a]
The Chapters became aware of the danger[1a] and each sent a Terminator to protect the Shield Generator. Angelus was sent by the Blood Angels to defend it and he was joined by the Imperial Fist Etrus, the Salamander Magmus, the Space Wolf Stormheart and the Ultramarine Lucian.[1b] Though they numbered only five, in the close confines of the armoured bunker, these Terminator-armoured warriors would be in their element. None would allow the Orks access to Shield Generator Gamma-9, without a fierce battle.[1a]
