Apocalypse War Zone: Damnos is a campaign book for Apocalypse (2013). This book contains a detailed background of the Damnos Incident as well as battle reports, minitature showcases, 4 new Apocalypse missions, 9 new strategic assets, and 22 new Apocalypse datasheets detailing key formations used by the Ultramarines and Necrons.[1]

Description

This book describes the Damnos War Zone. It features not only the original Damnos Incident, but also the struggle for control of the planet twenty-five years later, when five entire companies of Ultramarines, under the command of Marneus Calgar himself, returned to Damnos. There, they would engage the combined might of the Sautekh and Nihilakh dynasties, and the war machines the Necrons brought to bear. The Ultramarines’ arrival in force and their vindictive campaign would proclaim the Imperium’s total dominance – provided they were able to overcome the many secrets lurking beneath the snow-bound planet’s crust.[1]

Content

  • Each Apocalypse War Zone is a self-contained supplement to the Apocalypse rules, based on a famous campaign from the history of the Warhammer 40,000 galaxy. Each War Zone starts off with a detailed history that describes the course of the campaign, the famous battles that were part of it, and the combatants that waged the war.[1]
  • The background is followed by special rules, Strategic Assets, missions and Apocalypse Formations.[1]
  • Each Apocalypse War Zone includes a gatefold that unfolds to show a ‘battle report’ of an Apocalypse game set in that War Zone.[1]
