Carthaen Sword
Carthaen Swords are masterpiece Force Swords that are created on the Imperial world Carthae and are normally wielded by its tribal people.[1]
History
The weapons are so phenomenally sharp, that few survive being cut by them. Those that do so, such as the Inquisition acolyte Harlon Nayl, are known to Carthae's people as Wyla Esw Fauhn - "spared by the genius". The Force Swords are also psychically bonded to their owners and will actively resist being wielded by their enemies. When an owner of a Carthaen Sword dies, the world's traditions dictate that the weapon should be returned to their clan.[1] However this does not always occur, such as with the Carthaen Sword Barbarisater which continued to be used as the personal weapon of the Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn, long after the death[2b] of its original owner Arianhrod Esw Sweydyr.[2a]
