Lombardi Hort
The Lombardi Hort were Terran Imperial Army Regiments,[1b] during the Great Crusade.[1a]
History
They wore plated battlegear, with ballistic padding[1b] and heavy[1c] giant yellow plastek slide-visors, which came down over the Lombardi Hort's eyes. The inner surface of the slide-visors[1b] provided an orange-tinted view,[1c] which flickered with eyeline displays and target graphics that aided the Lombardi Hort as they fired their weapons. These included Melters and the backpack mounted 'chetters. The Regiments' Vox officers also had heavy carapace sets and had long, swaying antennae.[1b]
During the Great Crusade,[1a] the Lombardi Hort were among the Imperial Army forces that continued to fight against Terran groups that resisted the Imperium's control of the world.[1b] Despite the Emperor having ended the Unification Wars over a century and a half earlier, these groups were still powerful foes.[1a] This included the N Brigade, who the Lombardi Hort waged war against in Ossetia. It is not known what the final outcome of the conflict was though.[1b]
