"The Feast of Saint Luthera" is a short story by Victoria Hayward, published by Black Library in December 2024 as part of an Black Library Advent 2024 eShort Subscription.[2]
Description[1]
The Knight World of Bayoux is mired in ancient ritual and long-faded glory and now lies mouldering and decaying on the forgotten fringes of the Imperium. Squabbling for the favour of their tyrannical king Vayoud, the world’s barons make their pitiful offerings at the Feast of St Luthera.
Vayoud's heir, Asrien, dreams of Knightly glory. But when Bayoux’s last few Knights begin to vanish, and the barons’ manoeuvring culminates in a moment of shocking cruelty from the king, Asrien faces the darkness at the heart of their world.
