- Note: Only the most noteworthy examples of the article's subject should be included in the article. In the case of for example characters this would be playable characters with their own special rules and/or protagonists of their own novels or novel series. If there are too many of those (rule of thumb: aim for five to max. ten items on this highlight list), pick the playable characters who are most established/ best known.
- Don't fill up example lists with really minor examples (e.g. from throwaway lines) just to bolster the list.
- It is explicitly not allowed to try to include complete lists of examples in the article (exception: very important lists with a determined and reasonably acceptable number like for example Primarchs.
