A 'Ard Boy wearing 'Eavy Armour
'Eavy Armour is a form of protection worn by Orks. It is usually made from scavenged metal platesTemplate:Refp, or chunks of whatever armour the Ork can get his hands on, riveted together and worn mostly over the torso, although the plates can be riveted onto the Ork himself! In game it provides a 4+ Armor Save.

Earlier versions of the suit were custom made by Meks, and were some times powered by some form of generator in a backpack suit and delivered through an assortment of pulleys, wheels and cogsTemplate:Refp. Current incarnations seem to be more crude and loose, usually welded by young Spanner Boyz or by the users themself.

It is commonly worn by Nobz and Warbosses, as a little extra protection goes a long way in a society where fighting (often to the death) is the usual form of career advancementTemplate:Ref. Those Ork Boyz who manage to get their hand on a piece of 'Eavy Armour are called 'Ard Boyz, and usually comprise mobs of their own.
