Mauvais
Mauvais is a Sorcerer Lord in the Emperor's Children and serves as the personal messenger of its Primarch, Fulgrim.[1]
History
A Horus Heresy veteran, Mauvais is said to be Fulgrim's favorite son and the golden circlet the Sorcerer Lord wears is rumored to have been a gift from the Daemon Primarch. In M42, Fulgrim summoned the Emperor's Children's forces to his side aboard the warship Vexation and Mauvais was charged with delivering this message to the Perfecti Warband. He later appeared before them, just as the Perfecti were about to achieve a victory over a World Eaters Warband, on a world within the Maelstrom. However when the Perfecti's Knight-Commander, Marduk Tamaris, was losing a duel to the World Eaters' Warlord, the Sorcerer Lord intervened and saved Tamaris' life. With that, the Perfecti were victorious though, the Knight-Commander was left humiliated and did not thank Mauvais for his aid. This annoyed the Sorcerer Lord, but Mauvais proceeded to tell Tamaris that Fulgrim was summoning the Emperor's Children to him, aboard the warship Vexation. Mauvais remarked, however, that it was up to Tamaris to attend the summons or not, as he doubted anyone would notice or care if the Knight-Commander showed up. With that, the Sorcerer Lord departed as Tamaris ordered the Perfecti to ready themselves to leave for the Vexation.[1]
