Aelos
Aelos is a Grey Knights Justicar, whose power armor is decorated with records of valor, earned during his long service to the Chapter.[1]
History
He was also once the mentor of Graucis Telomane, who was once among the Justicar's wards as they began their training to become Grey Knights. Though the two had a close relationship, though a major disagreement occurred when the First War of Armageddon began. At that time, Telomane had just joined the ranks of its Brotherhoods, but had been asked by Captain Taremar Aurellian to take part in the Chapter's targeted strike against the Daemon Primarch Angron. Aelos vehemently disagreed with this and refused to give Telomane permission to do so, as he claimed the young Grey Knight was not ready to face such a powerful foe. In the Justicar's words, there was a reason the Chapter did not temper its youngest members in battle. Telomane believed he was ready, however, and chose to ignore his mentor's warning and join the attack anyways. In the end, Telomane was among the thirteen Grey Knights who survived the battle, that saw Angron banished to the Warp, but he was left severely wounded afterwards.[1]
However, that meeting between them would be the last time that Aelos and Telomane saw each other. In the hundreds of years since then, the young Grey Knight has become an experienced Epistolary with a high standing within their Chapter. But while Telomane has outgrown his former mentor in many ways, he still remembers Aelos as the colossus he viewed the Justicar as, during their last meeting together.[1]
