Armand Culcis was a Lieutenant in the Royal Volpone 50th, during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1]

History

He was a 4th generation Royal, who was born of the middling nobles of Volpone's aristocracy. Despite its level in his Homeworld's society, Culcis came from a strong bloodline, that had a good family history. During the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, the 50th were among its forces that fought the Blood Pact on Gnostes. There, some of its Companies were among the Regiments that General Voke commanded, as he defended the city of Lodden. As the Blood Pact attacked the city, the Royals suffered causalities, including amongst their officer class. Culcis and the ill-tempered Captain Isaac Shiller, were eventually among the only three left and were then under the command of Major Vasquez Regara. However when the Blood Pact advanced upon the city, Voke's tactics to fight them backfired. This led his overextended battle line to be overrun and the General gave the order for the Regiments to retreat. Culcis and the 50th then joined the other surviving Guardsmen, as they tried to escape before the Blood Pact overwhelmed them. Even then, Major Regara still ensured to instill decorum into his officers. When Culcis used the slur Deg to the Mil-serve servant Darian, Regara quickly confronted him. The Major then told Culcis, to call their servants by their title or name. While the Major had to deal with such ignorant behavior from Captain Shiller, he did not want to deal with the Lieutenant acting the same way. Culcis contritely accepted this, as they continued to retreat.[1]
