Ba'stien Grix is the Chapter Master of the Castellans of the Rift.^[1]

History

The Chapter was formed on the orders of Lord Commander Guilliman and were charged by him with defending the Nachmund Gauntlet for the Imperium. However, when combat losses put this duty at risk, the Castellans sought aid to help them in their task and Grix send out messages requesting reinforcements from their fellow Space Marine Chapters. The messages were received and the forces that arrived to fight beside the Castellans, became known as the Wardens of the Gauntlet.^[1]

During the Nachmund Rift War, Grix was the senior Imperial commander during the Siege of Dharrovar and was wounded leading a retreat from the world.^[2]
