Space Marines Portal Black Templars

Bayard was an Emperor's Champion of the Black Templars Chapter.^[1][2a]

History

He served in this capacity during the Ghoul Stars Crusade^[1] and the Helsreach Crusade.^[2a] He met his end in the latter, being killed by orks during the Templars' last, desperate stand at the Temple of the Emperor Ascendant.^[2b]

A commemorative miniature for the 35th Anniversay of Warhammer 40,000 released in 2022, depicted a nameless Emperor's Champion exacting revenge on the orcs for the death of the actual Bayard during the events of Helsreach (Novel)^[3]
