Hololithic Plate
Hololithic Plates were a type of hologram communication device, that was used by the Imperial Army during the Great Crusade.[1]
Description
They were the size of platters and required both hands to be used if the Hololithic Plates were being carried. When activated, their digital relays connected with other Hololithic devices and the Plates' display screens projected the hologram face of the person who contacted their owner. The Hololithic Plates could operate over a considerable distance, but the relays' connection could cause the displayed hologram's voice to distort or its image to shimmer.[1]
They could also be used as security devices, when installed into doors. Anyone wishing to unlock the doors, would need to enter the correct permission codes into the Hololithic Plate' display screens.[2]
