Idamas
Idamas was the Captain of the Blood Angels' 99th Company during the Horus Heresy and he took part in the Siege of Terra.[1]
History
However the Captain was captured by Horus's hordes during the Siege and was mutilated afterwards. In the last days of the invasion, Idamas would be among the captured prisoners that the Traitors brought before the defenders of the inner Imperial Palace's Delphic Battlement. This led directly to the Emperor's domain within the Sanctum Imperialis and Horus wanted an ambassador sent to relay a message to the Imperials holding the Battlement. The Legio Mordaxis' Daughter of Torment was sent forth to do so and presented an offer to accept also present an insult to the Blood Angels' Primarch Sanguinus, who had command of the Battlement. This insult was Idamas himself, who was fatally wounded by having 7 spears driven into him, in order to pin the Captain to one of the Daughter's massive claws.[1]
As it neared the Battlement, Idamas was finally seen by the Imperials and his fellow Blood Angel Zephon sought to rescue him. Sanguinius stopped Zephon, however, as the Primarch did not believe it was possible to save the captured Captain, while the Daughter was still far from the Battlement. As more Imperials saw Idamas' mutilated form, they all began yelling their outrage at his treatment. This led the Daughter of Torment to complete Horus' insult to Sanguinus, by slowly crushing the impaled Captain to death in front of the Primarch. However before it could do so, Sanguinus ordered the nearby Skitarii Transacta-7Y1 to kill Idamas. Despite the distance, Transacta made the shot and Idamas died right before his body was crushed by the Daughter of Torment.[1]
