Nero was a high ranking member of the Ultramarines Legion, during the Horus Heresy and was known for being a skilled swordsman.^[1]

History

Shortly after the Emperor's Children Legion fell to Slaanesh, Captain Lucius made a list of Loyalists who would be able to challenge him in combat. Nero was initially among them, but after some further thought, Lucius dismissed the Ultramarine as being any challenge to him. While Nero could kill with something approaching flair, Lucius noted the Ultramarine also fought with more than a hint of rote in his sword swings.^[1]
