Syria Planum
Syria Planum is an area on the planet Mars, located in the northeastern quadrant of a region known as the Tharsis Quadrangle.[1a]
Syria Planum borders the Daedalia Planum to the south and southeast, Solis Planum to the east and northeast, and the Sinai Planum to the north. The western boundary of the Syria Planum is marked by the Noctis Labyrinthus.[1a]
The most notable feature of Syria Planum is the Forge Temple of Mondus Gamma, one of the largest such structures on Mars.[1a][1b] In addition, just to the southwest of Mondus Gamma is Arsia Mons.[1a]
