Am I making this page too long by adding so many of the Author's books? 10 Aug 2010, 1427 GMT

Short Stories and more

Should they be italicised as a uniform standard? And should we endeavour to make a page for every author or just keep that for the BIG NAMES of WH40K fiction?--Ytokes 03:38, 3 April 2011 (CEST)

Italicising shorts has been the standard for some time, though I wasn't involved in the decision of that so don't know why it is so. Ideally every author should have their own page (identical in format) and this would be altered to just become a List page, but going is slow as it's a big project and it can be difficult to find bio information that can be reworded. Thanks.--Mob 15:57, 3 April 2011 (CEST)
Every author should of course get his own page. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 16:19, 3 April 2011 (CEST)
I assume that we could lift a large amount of descriptions from here [[1]] if it were properly sourced. Or quoted even? Or else troll through each authors blog...--Ytokes 03:04, 4 April 2011 (CEST)
Yeah, BL, personal site-bios and publisher sites etc. Wherever google takes you. Just remember to avoid direct copies of other content.--Mob 04:56, 4 April 2011 (CEST)
Yes, as Mob said. Blogs, Facebook pages, twitter accounts. Just make sure it's genuine and correctly sourced. Sometimes you get articles on authors in some magazines (e.g. I ince found one on Barrington J. Bailey (RIP). --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 11:43, 4 April 2011 (CEST)

Goulding

How do we know Laurie Goulding and L.J. Goulding are the same person? Bobmath (talk) 22:03, 28 November 2018 (MST)

I've found only this --- https://www.trackofwords.com/2016/11/29/interview-with-laurie-goulding-part-one/ Here stated that Laurie Goulding also writes under the name LJ Goulding.--Darkelf77 (talk) 13:17, 30 November 2018 (MST)
Ah, thanks. Confusing that he's credited both ways in Burden of Loyalty. Bobmath (talk) 13:42, 30 November 2018 (MST)
As I understand he use Laurie Goulding when he is an editor and L.J. Goulding as an author.--Darkelf77 (talk) 14:19, 30 November 2018 (MST)
Seems to be the case. I'm going to leave it as LJ on the Authors page. Bobmath (talk) 14:52, 30 November 2018 (MST)
Lol, it'd be an amazing coincidence that Black Library employs two people both known as L Goulding. Harriticus (talk) 03:38, 1 December 2018 (MST)
Not really. Maybe they're related. Bobmath (talk) 08:13, 1 December 2018 (MST)
