The Thunderhawk Cannon is a modified version of a Macro cannon^[4] more commonly found on the defensive turret armaments of Frigate class warships mounted on a Space Marine Thunderhawk Gunship.^[4] It is an over-sized version to allow it to be fired from the air at the most vulnerable parts of an enemy position or for clearing an area to land troops in,^[1] and offers unprecedented killing power for its size.^[4] The Thunderhawk Cannon fires high explosive shells.^[3]
