Veniston
Veniston is an Imperial Navy Admiral, who commands the Battleship Holy Dignity.[1]
Biography
In late M41, Veniston had command of a small Imperial Navy fleet that was on an extended patrol. The fleet consisted of the Cruiser Divine Justice and its three Frigate escorts the Glorious, the Apollo and the Excellent. While the Divine was normally command by Captain Kaurl, it was under Veniston's control for the duration of the patrol. Under his command, the fleet engaged an Ork controlled Space Hulk, that was destroyed by the Divine's fighter craft. This was at a heavy cost, though, and the fleet would continue on its patrol with under-strength fighter squadrons. However the rest of the patrol's duration saw them only fight against Pirates and the occasional smuggler.[1]
A year and a half after destroying the Space Hulk, the fleet was able to resupply on Saltius, where they received new orders. They were to join the Imperial Navy fleet that was fighting to reclaim Mearopyis from the Noctal species. When they arrived, though, the Navy's Sector Command placed Veniston in command of the entire fleet. He then replaced the recalled Admiral Kright and took command of the Battleship Holy Dignity.[1]
