Nostramo was the homeworld of the Night Lords, until Night Haunter destroyed it.1
Overview
Nostramo was a dark, bleak planet covered in clouds of pollution. It had 5 major cities, Nostramo Prime to Nostramo Quintus, each city independent of the next. Due to an abnormal orbit of its moon, Tenebor, Nostramo experienced the equivalent of a Terran night even during the high point of the Nostraman summer.1
The population was almost completely human, but they had evolved without Irises, their eyes consisting entirely of pupils. Their skin was pale and there was an acute form of albinism in the population.1
Nostramo's geology contained priceless wealth. It had a huge quantity of naturally occurring adamantium in the crust. This meant Nostramo had good trading links and was made wealthy through trade with other planets. It was likely however, that the extensive mining of this metal made the core more volatile, and when Night Haunter attacked the planet, the core exploded more than it would have done, resulting in complete destruction of the planet, much as he had seen in his dreams.1
Prior to the Emperor's arrival, Nostramo was cut off from the other planets. It was mainly run by gangs of thieves and thugs, all vying for power. Also, the rich leaders were inefficient and lax in their rulings. Then, Curze grew up, and slaughtered all of those decadent enough and all gang members who didn't do as he said. Crime fell to zero, and Curze was effectively in charge of the planet. Then the Emperor came and took Curze away. The planet then fell back to the way it had been before until Night Haunter returned and destroyed it utterly.1
