Varro Tigurius is the Chief Librarian of the Ultramarines. He was appointed to this rank after many years of fighting and because of his deep knowledge of the galaxy and his immense psychic powers.

Tigurius's accomplishments include surviving the Ork attack on Boros alongside very few others as well as witnessing the arrival of the mysterious Legion of the Damned. Wargear
Tigurius wears the Hood of Hellfire, a modified Librarian hood which massively enhances his psychic abilities, and carries the Rod of Tigurius, a Bolt Pistol, and Frag and Krak Grenades.
