The Black Lion is a Fallen Angel Daemon Prince, who took part in the Horus Heresy[1] and once[2] ruled the world New Caliban.[1]

History
He gathered a sizeable army there, composed of Daemon Engines, the Chaos Knight Yvain and his fellow Fallen Angels, including Cypher. However while some of the Fallen there served the Chaos Gods, as the Black Lion did, others did not and remained uncorrupted. In reality, the Daemon Prince's army was really only united by the Fallen's half-remembered brotherhood, and due to their necessity. Also when the Black Lion went to war, he was accompanied by a lion like beast and one of the Watchers in the Dark.[1] However the Dark Angels later invaded New Caliban and captured the Daemon Prince.[2]
