Talk:Honsou
Refer to article on Tarsis Ultra, where mention is made of Honsou after the fall of Khalan- Ghol on Medrengard. Mention is also made in Planet Kill about the creature that came into existence after Uriel Ventris's time in a Demonculaba.
- I gather the events of Honsou begins with Storm of Iron (Novel) for which I do not own or have read. I have covered the events of Medrengard from Honsou's perspective from Dead Sky, Black Sun (Novel), but have also not read and thus not covered the short story, The Heraclitus Effect, in Planetkill (Anthology) concerning Honsou's involvement in the downfall of Tarsis Ultra.
'After his elevation to Warsmith, he began besieging the Adeptus Mechanicus fortress of Hydra Cordatus. The fortress was known to house large amounts of gene-seed belonging to the Imperial Fists Space Marine chapter, the sworn enemies of the Iron Warriors. The siege was successful and Honsou captured large amounts of gene-seed and returned to Medrengard with thousands of slaves which he used to complete his fortress.'
According to Storm of Iron this is incorrect - the original Warsmith ascended after the citadel had been breached where the two rival Captains to Honsou had both died. It was only at that point Honsou was elevated to Warsmith, not before. I haven't read the Ultramarine book for a while - do the two books disagree on this? Johnmcl7 16:47, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- No, the statement that Honsou was already a Warsmith when besieging Hydra Cordatus is simply wrong IIRC. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 17:11, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it is completely wrong. There's the obvious evidence in Storm of Iron, and it says in The Skull Harvest that he recently became a Warsmith.--Karimabuseer 18:58, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm new here, but thought that Honsou's "bionic arm" as it was mentioned in current information, is Pasanius' arm from before, right?
- Correct; Pasanius detached it while inside Khalan-Ghol, and Honsou attached it to replace his own missing arm (see "Dead Sky, Black Sun (Novel)")--Proteus77 19:23, 24 June 2011 (CEST)
Iron Warrior
Has anyone been fortunate enough to read the limited release novel/graphic novel "Iron Warrior" by Graham McNeill?--Proteus77 19:25, 24 June 2011 (CEST)
- I do have it, havnt read it yet. Could bump it up my list though if that would help.--Ytokes 00:40, 25 June 2011 (CEST)
- Is it a novel or a graphic novel?--Proteus77 20:07, 25 June 2011 (CEST)
Missing Sources?
Does any short story or novel depict Honsou's fight to capture the star fort Indomitable? That seems to be a missing episode, taking place before the events of "The Chapter's Due."--Proteus77 19:23, 24 June 2011 (CEST)
- I have the feeling that it takes place during the Heraclitus Effect short story seen in Planetkill (Anthology).--Ytokes 00:39, 25 June 2011 (CEST)
