Argo-Nautical
The Argo-Nautical is a type of towering Imperial aquatic vessel deployed from the planet Persepia and operated by the Persepia Nautical Fleet.[1a]
Description
Armed with autocannons, storm bolter batteries, torpedo tubes and 254mm broadside naval guns[1f] and possessing a flight deck that can carry a squadron of Marauders and four Lightning Strikes the Argo-Nautical is crewed by seven hundred sailors, crewmen and logisticians[1d] who operate the weapons as well as the bridge-radar and the range-finders.[1f] The ship is armoured in 280mm thick armour that is resistant to autocannon and heavy bolter fire.[1f] The Argo-Nautical is even capable of withstanding the tsunami-level tidal waves produced by a near miss of an Earthwrecker shell but a direct hit splits the ship apart.[1c] The vessel is also capable of transporting and landing fourteen thousand guardsmen[1b] and their accompanying transport vehicles.[1e]
