The Death Ray is a heavy Necron weapon most commonly mounted on Doom Scythe fighter aircraft. Emitted from a focusing crystal, the Death Ray takes the form of a white blinding light that vaporizes infantry and tanks alike. A single Doom Scythe equipped with a death ray can carve its way through an entire armoured column, and a full squadron can reduce a sprawling Hive city to rubble in less then an hour.[1]
The Death Ray can also be mounted on Monoliths in place of the Gauss Flux Arc[2].
