Cover Description

Part I

Inquisitor Greyfax and a retinue of incorruptible Grey Knights are sent on a mission by the reborn Primarch Guilliman to recover the Eye of Night, a fabled artefact of Ruin that could weaken the Great Rift. It will be no easy task as Greyfax – with the aid of a long dead inquisitor – must journey into the Eye of Terror itself and challenge a traitor of a truly ancient pedigree, the crone Moriana.

Tasked with a vital mission by Primarch Guilliman, Inquisitor Greyfax and her Grey Knight guardians have taken their first steps. With a new ally by their side – the shade of the long dead Inquisitor Horst – they set out to find one who can lead them to their prize. But will the crone Moriana – reputed to be one of the Imperium’s oldest traitors – aid Greyfax in her quest to seize the Eye of Night?

Having secured the dubious aid of the croneseer Moriana, Inquisitor Greyfax and her companions close in on their target. But can Greyfax trust the spirit of Inquisitor Horst that occupies the corpse of a long dead Grey Knight, or is he playing her false? And even if she finds the Eye of Night, will Moriana part with it, or is Greyfax walking into a trap she cannot possibly escape?
