A Fuel Transport^[1]

Fuel Transports^[1], also known as Fuel Tankers^[2], are Imperial spaceships that are a vital part of the Imperium's supply chains.^[1]

Description

They ship fuel and other materials to Industrial Worlds incapable of producing their own raw materials, as well as to Imperial Guard army groups, and Imperial Navy fleets^[1]. Fuel Transports are also among the enormous flotillas of support vessels, that accompany the fleets of the Indomitus Crusade.^[2]

These spaceships carry many smaller shuttles within them, in order to ferry fuel from ground refineries and back up to the Transports. The shuttles are at least 500 meters (1640 feet) long, and around twelve land at a time to acquire the fuel.^[3]
