Grudbolg is an ancient[1d] Chieftain Warlord who commands Ghazghkull Thraka's Snakebites forces[1a] and is part of his Counsill of Clan-Bosses.[1b]

History

When Ghazghkull Thraka began to unite the Orks of Urk under his command, Grudbolg was among the Clan Warlords he challenged. The two would have a knife fight in a swamp, which ended after Thraka cut off Grudbolg's head. However while the Chieftain still lived, Grudbolg refused Thraka's offer to join his hordes. In response, Thraka held Chieftain's head to his body, until Grudbolg's spine reconnected and they then fought again. The fight would end the same way, but once again Grudbolg refused Thraka's offer. It was finally after he was beheaded for a third time, that the Chieftain agreed and his Snakebites joined Thraka's hordes.[1a]

After Thraka conquered Urk, he began the Second War of Armageddon which Grudbolg and the other Counsill of Clan-Bosses took part in. However when the War began to stall for Thraka's hordes, the [[Warboss|Warlord escaped to Golgotha along with his Counsill[1c]. They later returned to begin the Third War of Armageddon[1d], until Thraka decided to leave and undergo a quest to unite all of the Galaxy's Orks under his command. Before he departed from Armageddon, though, the Warlord sent the Counsill Clan-Bosses to start wars of their own elsewhere, even as the majority of his hordes continued to fight for the world[1e]. While the Counsill would later reunite under Thraka's command, it is not known if Grudbolg was still among them when that occurred.[1f]
