Lennard
Lennard is an Aeronautica Imperialis Wing-Commander, who pilots a Lightning Strike.[1]
History
The Wing-Commander was among the Imperial forces that unsuccessfully defended Lazulai from a Tyranid invasion in M42. As the world began to fall to the Xenos, after months of warfare, Lennard led the Lightning Strikes stationed in Cobalt Fortress, which was commanded by General Kvelter. When an overwhelming force of Tyranids began heading towards the Fortress, though, the General was given a final mission to undertake by Sector Command's Lord Commander Stone. She was to send out a small force to find and evacuate an asset on Lazulai, before the world was consumed by the Xenos. The General gave the mission to Major Wulf Khan of the Catachan CMIII, but Kvelter also sought to increase the Major's chances of success. In order to do so, the General decided to lead Lennard and the Fortress' other surviving Imperial forces in a final advance out of its walls. Their large numbers would then draw the Tyranids' attention to them and allow Major Khan's group to slip past the Xenos near the Fortress.[1]
