The Mass Cargo Conveyance is a class of transport spaceship operated by the Adeptus Mechanicus, notably during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1]

Description

The Mass Cargo Conveyance is sixteen kilometres long, resembling a streamlined cathedral beset by bas-relief gargoyles incorporating sentry guns. It also features three immaterium observatories offering a view of space, one of which is called the Glass Bay, a dome a hundred metres in radius made out of transparent, hyper dense silica. During Warp travel the view is filtered by a special dampening filed while giant sensorium scopes, aura-imagifiers and luminosity evaluators assemble and asses warp-related data. The data is transmitted to the main bridge found on top of the tallest command spire.[2a] The bridge itself features at its centre a command throne for the captain who is surrounded by hololithic plates hovering on suspensor fields. The captain is directly connected to the ship via mind-impulse links.[2b]

The Mass Cargo Conveyance is designed to transport Titans but can also be used to carry other elements of the Imperial armed forces like infantry if necessary.[2b] When offering transportation services to the Astra Militarum, a Mass Cargo Conveyance can carry at least nine full Regiments, four divisions and three mechanised battalions including their attendant vehicles.[2a]
