Talk:Bayard (Primaris Emperor's Champion)
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Still not an accepted source--Siegfriedfr (talk) 15:52, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- This is not an official GW channel, it's run by independant fans. Aditionnally, the word "Primaris" is used nowhere on that Card, so this is pure speculation that it's a "different" character. The fact they used the recently released Champion model is no indication about the Lore the card represents.--Siegfriedfr (talk) 16:18, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Well the same card is on the developer's official twitter page Warhammer Combat Cards Twitter and you can see its clearly based on the Primaris Emperor's Champion seen here EC9th.jpg. Games Worshop's website describes the model as being a Primaris in the Black Templars Army Set as well. Also if you click on Bayard's lexicanum page, you can see he died in Chapter XXIII of the Helsreach (Novel), so they are two different characters who have the same name. If you look through lexicanum, you can see that happens a lot. Dram (talk) 16:52, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Whatever picture they used, It's not a character, it's just a game card with a name they pulled out of the Black Templars' Lore. The fact that it's a "Primaris" is not a fact, it is the way YOU interpret the image you see - it's not stated on the card, or anywhere else from a viable source. Furthermore, it has nothing to do on the lexicanum as an independant article. Create entire pages with images of all the released cards if you want, don't create one page for each card because you believe you saw something that wasn't there.--Siegfriedfr (talk) 20:59, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

- no fighting. The only issue here is if this is an official card for a GW-endorsed product. If dram has demonstrated that then there’s no issue Harriticus (talk) 23:36, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- These are not the issues at all. The issues are the following :
- 1) The Source used is not official, and doesn't respect the rules of the Lexicanum. see Example of unnaccepted source where its clearly stated that blogs, forum posts are not an accepted source. A Reddit forum not endorsed officially by GW, is not an accepted source, as per the rules of this wiki.
- 2) a page with the following name was created : Bayard (Primaris Emperor's Champion), which is incorrect, if a page has to exist it should be Bayard (game card)
- If we have to suffer a page for each game card ever created, at least make it respect the rules, and Logic--Siegfriedfr (talk) 06:45, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
