Thengir

Thengir was a Fenrisian King who adopted the Primarch Leman Russ, sometime after he landed upon the Death World.^[1]

History

A pack of Fenrisian Wolves raided one of Thengir's villages, prompting him to form a hunting party and neutralize this threat. They were successful in the endeavor and captured a feral humanoid being living among the wolves, who was brought afterward before the King.

Thengir allowed the captive to stay with him when he proved that he was more than just another wolf. Due to his nature as a Primarch, the captive quickly learned Fenrisian culture and started to become more civilized. When he had later reached a sufficient level, it was Thengir who gave the Primarch his name, Leman Russ. The Primarch would then go on to greatly aid Thengir in ruling his kingdom. When the King later died, there was no question that Russ would succeed him.^[1]
