Welcome to Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the Help section. Again, welcome and have fun! Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 09:30, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Image rules
Hello, please attentively read the Help article on image uploads and adapt your uploads to the rules. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 20:58, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
Understood. I'll look into them more rigorously and go over my previous uploads. I'd appreciate if you'd also elaborate on any mistakes I've made on them so I know to avoid doing them again! Thanks.
Living metal
Hi! In your edit https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Living_metal&diff=next&oldid=555479 please state not only name of article, but the page(s) also. The pages even more important than article/paragraph/etc names.--Darkelf77 (talk) 14:56, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hey there! Unfortunately, as I was using the EPUB version of the 7th ed necron codex, and do not have access to the hardcover at this time, there is no way for me to cite the page number. I checked with Inquisitor on this. The best I could do is cite the article. I asked if I should specify I was using the EPUB version, but Inquisitor also said that wasn't necessary. "In the case of epub and co pagenumbers are useless as they completely depend on your reader's settings. So unfortunately you can only cite the chapter/sub-division/paragraph/ whatever heading to make it localizable" from Inquisitor. --Shazrael (talk) 16:53, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, yes. I understood what you mean. So - as we often did in situation like that before - proper thing will be better to add '(e-version)' to source name. Page will not needed, yes. At least we state that in previous cases like that.--Darkelf77 (talk) 17:18, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
Armorcast
Hi there! I saw that you posted an Armorcast photo to Exocrine, that was AWESOME! It sent me down a bit of a rabit hole, as it appears we had yet to properly cite Armorcast in this wiki, so I've created some new tools to help us post more photos like the one you did. As you continue, please include {{Armorcast}} in the copyright box (right alongside {{Copyright}}) and if you have anything you would like to add to the Armorcast article, please feel free to do so! Cheers! --Zap1000x (talk) 20:25, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- That's great, thanks! I'll be sure to include the {{Armorcast}} link whenever I get around to posting more Armourcast things, as well as going back and adding them into the stuff I've already uploaded. If you are knowledgeable about that particular era, maybe an article for Inquisitor Magazine would be worthwhile too. I just don't know where to begin (I do have them though, including copyright disclaimers and such). Keep up the good work! --Shazrael (talk) 23:16, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Oh! And if you can, an Epicast page would be good too.
- I'm pretty sure Inquisitor magazine can't be included in the wiki as it was a fan-zine, but I can ask the higher ups. For now it lives in Armorcast#Trivia. I'm actually not from back in the day, I just happened to work at Noble Knight when Tim sold his back catalogue. I'll have to do more digging for sources on Epicast. --00:08, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, Inquisitor S said as much too. Though, some slight good news is while the lore and rules aren't licensed by Games Workshop apparently all the model images are specifically licensed by Games Workshop ["The exclusive copyright on these model designs and components is the property of Games Workshop Ltd. under license from Games Workshop Ltd."]. So in the very least the pictures therein are official GW material. Which is something!
- Also Mike Biasi Studios is evidently separate from Epicast. He made some good stuff as well I'll be posting soonish. Hit me up on the lex discord too btw! I go by Baz there.--Shazrael (talk) 00:18, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Went through and created Epicast (Company) and {{Epicast}}, just the same. We are, beleive it or not, already talking on there. :P
- Just thought you might like to know I've completed the series for Inquisitor Magazine (and in case you wanted to proofread or add anything you might have found that I had missed)--Zap1000x (talk) 08:21, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
