Alex Boyd is an artist working for Games Workshop. His bio on the Black Library website states -

"From the misty realm of northern Albion Alex has been with Games Workshop for nearly eight years. His artistic talent combined with his requisite madness are not only his trademark but also a crucial contribution to the dark and moody worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000. His work includes the astonishing Lizardmen army book cover. For the Black Library Alex has produced great novel covers for Warriors of Ultramar and the second edition of Guns of Tanith.." [1]
