Amalfi
Amalfi was an Adeptus Custodes Shield-Captain and was among its forces that took part in the Horus Heresy's Siege of Terra.[1]
History
Near the end of the Siege, he was chosen to join the Emperor's teleportation attack upon the traitorous Warmaster Horus' flagship, the Vengeful Spirit. Amalfi was placed in Proconsul Caecaltus Dusk's Shield Company which was to act as the Emperor's bodyguards during the battle with the Traitors. However disaster struck, when their teleportation went awry and separated the Emperor and Dusk's Shield Company from the other Imperial forces now aboard the Vengeful Spirit.[1]
This was done by Horus' will and the Warmaster then used the power of Chaos, to convince the Custodes that the Emperor was a corrupt monster and must die at their hands order to save the Imperium. Blood than began to pour from their eyes and while some were able to resist Horus and collapsed afterwards, many of the Shield Company turned on their Lord and began attacking Him. Though some of these Custodes were aware of what was going on, they could not stop themselves and the Emperor was forced to kill them in order to defend Himself. Amalfi was among the many who died at the Emperor's hands and met his end after being stabbed through the chest by his Lord's sword.[1]
