History
In 5233709.M39, the Imperium lost contact with the colony on Banelund XI and an investigative team was sent to discover its fate. When they arrived, the investigative team found that all of the world's 1200 colonists, were either slain or missing — presumed captured. The attack on Banelund XI was later discovered to have been the work of the Dark Eldar and was prominent because of the previously undiscovered presence of a Xenos edifice on the world's surface. The Inquisition later examined the edifice and judged it to be a warpsace portal, almost undoubtedly Eldar in origin.[1]
