A raiding force of the traitorous Legio Vulcanum obliterated a force of the Avenging Sons Chapter, who had sworn to defend the manufactorums of Cartis IX; blasting away the heavy fortifications they had retreated to, into powder and crushing the Space Marines within beneath their armoured feet.[1]
