Lector Dogmis Alixia Kalisperis suggested to Cawl that Pontus Avernes be the location of this gathering.[1e]

Magos Frenk was allowed to record the meeting and impromptu trial of Belisarius Cawl to bring back to his master, Inquisitor Cehen-qui, one of many enemies Cawl has made in the Imperium over his long life.[1b]

In this meeting Cawl would present his plan. The means to achieving his goals on the world present their own issues and heresy against the currently prevailing beleifs held by the majority of the Cult Mechanicus. Cawl's means proposed using time-altering technology, xenos tech, and consorting with a Necron Cryptek in order to steal and then use Necron technology to aid in the construction and control of Cawl's prototype pylon matrix.[1c]

In orbit of a black hole named Calligan’s Maw in the Astra Cartographica, is the ancient Necron world Irtanathep. The world's sun was killed and turned into this black hole during the War in Heaven. Irtanathep was a world with some kind of pylon control system, and Cawl speculates it was attacked during the war because of this.[1c]

Irtanathep was caught on the cusp of the black hole's event horizon. Due to time slowing under conditions of extreme gravity, the world is experiencing extreme temporal dilation. The world is doomed to be locked in time, a near-perpetual free fall into the black hole's event horizon for uncountable millennia. Cawl wishes to go here to access the pylon network control centre. That is why he called so many magi who are hierophants in the ars chronometrica.[1c]

This open proposal to defy the nature of time would result in uproar amongst the magi, for Chronaxic manipulation is one of the prime bans. Amongst the crowd, some temporal experts insisted that no fundamental laws of either the Cult or of material science would be broken, as they were dealing with a natural effect. A minority, said it did not matter, because what Cawl proposed was de facto voyaging through time, no matter how cleverly it was dressed up, and that was clearly forbidden.[1c]

A tunnel through time and space to this frame of existence would require great effort to stabilise frame shifting across several chronic time zones, both to get in and in order to extract within real-time relative parameters. Maintaining the same vector for entry and exit would be essential to not reemerge thousands of years later, if at all. Archmagos Logis Magnacomptroller Covarix Sestertius estimated the energy cost of this theoretical endeavor would be equal to the total energy output of a sun, a gargantuan outlay in resources.[1c]

The Forge Worlds of Accatran and Tigrus would choose to aid in Cawl's scheme. Forge World Metalica declined, stating they would request that the Synod of Mars ex-communicate of the 2 Forge Worlds from the Cult Mechanicus.[1d]
