Sin of Damnation is a Blood Angels novella by Gav Thorpe, first published in September 2014. It includes the novella Space Hulk and introduced the short story, Sanguis Irae.

Black Library Description

"Six centuries ago, Space Marines of the Blood Angels Chapter boarded the Space Hulk Sin of Damnation to cleanse it of a Genestealer infestation. They were never seen again. Now, Captain Raphael leads a kill team of mighty Terminators determined to avenge that long-ago shame and finally destroy the aliens. Vastly outnumbered and beset by the psychic might of the hive mind, the Blood Angels must complete their mission before they are overwhelmed by the xenos and their Chapter is humbled once again." [1]

Space Hulk

Main article: Space Hulk (Novella)

"In the darkness of a derelict Space Hulk, the faith and fury of the Blood Angels are tested to the limit. In this companion novel to the Space Hulk board game, a battle is raging between Terminators of the Blood Angels Space Marines and a macabre alien race. But their resolve and skill is pitted against something that haunts their past, because the thousands of foes they face are the same creatures that six centuries ago nearly decimated the Chapter. As a survivor of the earlier massacre, Sergeant Lorenzo has more to prove than any other. Carrying the stigma of the failure, he now fights for personal deliverance and to redeem the Chapter's honour." [2]

Sanguis Irae

"Boarding an unnamed vessel alongside his Terminator battle-brothers, Blood Angels Librarian Calistarius is assaulted by a creature of prodigious psychic might that brings forth his inner daemons. As he fights off the psychic attack, the Librarian and his fellows must find the creature and destroy it before all fall to the Black Rage." [3]
