Sonic Blaster
The Sonic Blaster is sonic weapon used by Noise Marines.[1]
Sonic Blasters produce waves of devastating sound which can rip targets apart. It can be used to produce either a continuous sound or many shorter pulses.[1] A Sonic Blaster can flay the flesh off of bone and pulverize organs on its own, but when multiple Blasters overlap their attack they can shatter the remaining skeletons into thousands of pieces.[3] These weapons are made up of all manner of compression rigs, soul vibrators, psychosiren dials, and many other arcane devices to alter their attacks. Noise Marines use them with abandon, frantically changing the neural pitch and rhythmic howl of their weapons.[5]
Sonic Blaster ammunition contain an exotic and bizarre ammunition stored in cylinders. These contain the screams and torments of all manners of beings, from C'tan Shards, to Daemons, captured Sorcerers, to tortured Eldar Spirit Stones. These substances can be vented in short riffs that shred flesh or a protracted scream that punctures the victims very soul.[5]
An enlarged version of the Sonic Blaster has been seen used by Chaos Dreadnoughts (designated Sonic Dreadnoughts) of the Emperor's Children.[2]
